The third element of our vision originates from two key passages of Scripture. The first, Romans 12:4-8 speaks of the way we function together in a faith community. Verse 6 reads, “We [each] have different gifts, according to the grace given us.” At Mosaic, we will empower believers to employ their God-given gifts. We will remind people of their identity in Christ, challenge them to walk in their authority in Christ and assist them to discover, develop and deploy their gifts for the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

The second scripture is found in the book of 1 Corinthians. Verse 7 of chapter 12 reads, “Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.” We are a gift-based, volunteer-driven church. Each believer will find joy and fulfillment when serving in their spiritual gifts and passion. Every believer is created, empowered, authorized and needed for ministry. We are most fulfilled when we are serving.

We will continually challenge each believer to win at least two people to Christ each and every year. Jesus’ last words on earth serve as our perpetual marching orders - to love, serve and make disciples of all nations. Our hearts break with the things that break the Lord’s heart - lost and hurting people.
