“Mosaic” is much more than a name - it is a prophetic declaration of what Jesus will accomplish through this unique community of believers.

The dictionary definition screams of our God-mandated destiny, “a picture produced by combining or arranging together distinct elements.”

Creating mosaics is a journey filled with contemplation, reflection and discovery. Great value is placed upon upon the search for the materials that will be used in the artwork. Artists prefer using "found objects,” - those objects sought out and those discovered along life’s journey.

One powerful aspect of mosaic art is the fact that material used to create the artwork can be broken, discarded or forgotten things that have been rediscovered. Broken glass is popular. Once created, mosaics of broken glass become breathtaking pieces of artwork as light shines through them.

When broken and discarded materials are used, the redemptive nature of mosaic art becomes clear. Skilled artists position and combine the materials so that a beautiful picture or pattern is created. God is redemptive this way. He knows how to place our lives in the context of His larger vision.

Through Mosaic, God will reconcile: God the Father and His kids; Believers and non-believers; Generations; Genders; Ethnicities; Husbands and wives; Parents and children; Cultural divides; Marketplace and vocational ministry. We see God taking our broken lives and making them beautiful together.
